After a day of riding around Koh Samui on our rented motorbike it felt nice to be back at our Villa in the Sandalwood Luxury Villa resort. We spent the rest of the afternoon by our small private pool and ordered our meals from the restaurant to be delivered to our villa (for a small fee) so that we could continue lazying around on the sundeck in the tropical humid weather.
We were definitely far away from the working world at our Plumeria Villa and we were in such beautiful surroundings with an unbelievable view of the Gulf of Thailand. I was very happy and so was Dk. It was the perfect end to the day and start of the evening, our plans later were to jump onto the motorbike and head into Chaweng for a late supper.
The food presentation of the dishes was something to be admired before we demolished them. The pad thai was encased in an egg omelette, the first time I have experienced a pad thai in this way and it was incredibly delicious. Sometimes when I am on holiday in another country and I try a food that leaves an impression I try to relive it back home. When I went to Paris I adored the little cakes and it steered me on a Patisserie Hunt through the Perth Suburbs. Well, I can say the same about this Pad Thai in an omelette; I am on the hunt for it in Perth now!
Chicken Satay Stick with Peanut Sauce
The chicken satay sticks and peanut sauce were just as tasty. The generous serving certainly satisfied my Thai food craving I was experiencing all day long on the back of the motorbike.
What a view from our villa
The Sandalwood restaurant is located between Chaweng and Lamai within the Sandalwood Luxury Villa Resort. The restaurant is located on the hillside of the resort so there is no view of the ocean, it is a small intimate terrace and if you are not staying at the resort you can certainly visit the restaurant.
